Christine Marie “Chrissy” Mancino, 59, of East Windsor, formerly of Windsor Locks, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 7, 1965, in Hartford, she was the cherished daughter of Anthony Mancino Jr. and the late Janice (Kozak).
Chrissy grew up in Windsor Locks, where she created countless cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Seven years ago, she made East Windsor her home, continuing to spread her warmth and kindness to all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Mary, Gate of Heaven Parish in Windsor Locks.
Professionally, Chrissy excelled as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Help to Retire, where her dedication and professionalism were deeply appreciated by her colleagues. Each year, she eagerly anticipated her role at the Big E, where she made potatoes in the Maine Building, a beloved tradition she enjoyed.
Chrissy will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, generous heart, and infectious sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around her. Family was at the forefront of her life; she cherished family gatherings, holidays, and the traditions that brought her large family together. Her selflessness extended beyond her family, as she dedicated her time to various charitable organizations. Chrissy volunteered at events such as Gary Craig’s We Are The Children's Party, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, and the “Big Q Dog House” at the Windsor Locks Fireman’s Carnival, as well as at several soup kitchens and shelters, embodying the true spirit of giving.
A lover of cooking, Chrissy was known for her delicious cheesy potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, and spaghetti sauce. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time at her favorite beach, Hampton Beach. Her fondness for Betty Boop was a testament to her playful nature, and her two cherished cats, Bella and Rex, were a source of comfort and companionship.
Chrissy is survived by her father, Anthony Mancino Jr. and his wife Elaine of Windsor Locks; her siblings, Anthony Mancino III, Teresa Parent, Lisa Quagliaroli, Candi Motuzick, Gail Gallow and her husband Stephen, and Karen Tarevella and her husband Edward.
